Update: Jigawa Gov Badaru steps down for Tinubu

Governor Badaru of Jigawa State has said that he stepped down for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu in answer to the direction of the northern All Progressives Congress, APC, governors that the party’s presidential ticket should go to the south.
Governor Badaru said he is a man of integrity, honour and fairness.
Earlier, three presidential aspirants, Godswill Akpabio, a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amos, and the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, have stepped down for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu to contest the 2023 general elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

They have publicly withdrawn from the race to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The three eminent Nigerians announced this at the ongoing APC National Convention of the party at the Eagle Square in Abuja, urged all his delegates to vote for Tinubu in national interest.
