Barcelona coach Xavi reacts to controversy over Vitor Roque’s lack of playing time


Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has responded to the controversy surrounding Vitor Roque’s limited playing time at the club, which led to the player’s coach expressing frustration about his client’s situation.


Andre Cury, the football agent of Vitor Roque, had said he is seeking a permanent move for his client away from FC Barcelona over lack of playing time.

The agent who disclosed in a chat with RAC1 when asked if a loan move would suit his client said that a loan move would be dangerous for a young player like Vitor.

Cury said that a permanent move would be the best option for Vitor, but the best option for him would be to stay at Barca and play. but if the coach doesn’t allow him to play, then they will need to search for another club.

While reacting to the comments made by the player’s agent, Xavi said the future of Vitor will be discussed internally to make a final decision on the player’s future.

The coach said Vitor is not playing at the moment due to the question of competition for a team like Barça, where he is competing with very big players.

He said, “I’m not replying to the player agent. I can’t do that.”

“Vitor’s future will be discussed internally to make a final decision.”
