2023: Shekarau dumps APC, joins Kwankwaso in NNPP

Former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, has revamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

A statement on the official Twitter account of the NNPP confirmed this on Tuesday.

The statement, which reads: “Finally: Sen Ibrahim Shekarau Joins Us”, was shared alongside a photo of Senator Shekarau and Senator Ibrahim Kwankwaso.

There had been some indications that Senator Shekarau planned to join the NNPP.

Senator Shekarau has joined another former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, who is a NNPP presidential aspirant.
