Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has questioned how Barcelona can afford a deal to buy Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.

Guardiola, however, admitted the Poland striker would be a great fit for his former club.

Lewandowski is trying to force a move to Barca, as he enters the final year of his contract with Bayern.

Any possible transfer would require the cash-strapped Barcelona to shell out a significant sum and Guardiola wonders if they will be able to afford it at all.

“I have no idea, to be honest, but would he be a good fit?

“We are talking about Lewandowski. He would adapt perfectly well anywhere.

“But I don’t know if Barcelona can sign him because of their financial situation or if Bayern [Munich] will let him leave,” Guardiola stated at the Puma Legends Trophy, where he was set to play at Pula Golf Resort.
