Tragedy! Deputy Commissioner of Police commits suicide
A Deputy Commissioner of Police under the Lagos State Police Command, DCP Gbolahan Oyedemi, is said to have committed suicide, with his lifeless body found in his Ogbomoso private home, in Oyo State.
DCP Oyedemi, who served as the Aide de Camp (ADC) to a former governor of Oyo State, the Late Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala, in 2006, was a native of Ogbomoso. He was said to be on a visit to his hometown for the Easter festivities at the weekend from Lagos when the ugly incident occurred.
His body was said to have been found hanging in the house on Monday, indicating that he committed suicide.
Reports from the Police Public Relations Officer of Force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID, Alagbon, DSP Eguaoje Funmilayo, confirmed Oyedemi’s death.
