Rainstorm: Gov Buni mourns five dead victims, orders SEMA to provide relief materials
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, is mourning the five victims of those who died from the building collapse as result of the rainstorm in Damaturu, the state capital.
He commiserated with the families of five persons who died in the incident.
Buni, on Tuesday, in a statement by his spokesperson Mamman Mohammed, described the incident as sad and unfortunate.
He said, “It is very sad to lose the victims in this very unfortunate natural disaster but that is the time decreed by the Almighty.
“We pray to Allah (SWT) to forgive their shortcomings and to grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss.”
The Governor also sympathized with those who sustained injuries and prayed for their quick recovery.
He directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to ensure treatment of those who sustained injuries and to provide the victims with emergency relief materials to cushion their hardships.
