President Tinubu Meets Obasa, Other Lagos Assembly Members in Abuja
President Bola Tinubu is currently holding a meeting with members of the Lagos State House of Assembly at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday evening. The legislators arrived in two coaster buses and proceeded to the President’s office area to await the meeting.
Among those present were the reinstated Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, and the former speaker and current deputy speaker, Hon. Mojisola Meranda. While Meranda arrived with her colleagues shortly after 2:00 PM, Speaker Obasa arrived separately at around 2:50 PM.
It is noteworthy that Hon. Obasa was previously impeached as Speaker by a majority of the House members but was later reinstated following the intervention of political leaders in the state, including President Tinubu.
The meeting was still ongoing at the time of reporting.
