Indeed, the festival creates an opportunity for people to reunite with friends and family and to hold other communal cum social activities, taking advantage of the public holidays declared for the Muslim festival.

However, this year’s celebration seems to be a bit different in Ogun State with various unforeseen circumstances preventing fun-seekers from having fanfare.

On Friday, many residents travelling for the festival were stranded, struggling to get vehicles to convey them to various destinations.

This could immediately be attributed to fuel scarcity with many queques in many filling stations across the state.

Fuel sell in some of the filling stations at a price between N180 and N200 per litre.
