Nigerian Singer, Portable, Pledges to Stay Out of Trouble After N2m Bail

Nigerian streethop artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has pledged to improve his behavior following his release on bail after being arraigned for allegedly assaulting Ogun State government officials. The ‘Zazu’ hitmaker expressed gratitude and promised to avoid further trouble in a post on his official Instagram page on Thursday, February 21.
“Alhamdulilahi for everything ZAzuu. No more Wahala. Na money I dey look for. If you no get money, call God,” Portable wrote on the platform.
Portable was granted bail by the Magistrate Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday. Facing five counts, including conspiracy, assault, unlawful obstruction, possession of a gun and cutlass, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, the singer pleaded not guilty during his arraignment.
His lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, stated that Portable is now remorseful and has learned from the incident, urging the court to grant him bail. Magistrate O.L. Oke approved a ₦2 million bail with one surety in the same amount and adjourned the case to March 5, 2025, for further hearing.
