LaLiga: A return to Barcelona is up to Messi – Xavi
Lionel Messi is to decide on his return to Barcelona, the club’s manager, Xavi said.
The Argentine superstar has been linked with a sensational comeback at the La Liga champions, just two years after he left and signed for Paris Saint-Germain.
A move back to Barcelona would see him play under the management of Xavi, who he had played with as former teammates at Camp Nou.
Messi’s return to the La Liga giants would certainly be a spectacular switch, but his potential new boss believes it’s up to the forward.
Speaking on Monday, Xavi said: “It’s up in the air. “It depends on many things. There is not much more I can say. Leo is a spectacular footballer. He is a friend. From there, it depends on many things, but above all on his intentions and what he wants.”
