Ganduje moves to resolve Kano APC crisis, drops senatorial ambition


Governor Umar Ganduje has embarked on moves to resolve the rift in the state All Progressives Congress, APC.

Consequently, Governor Ganduje,.who had earlier obtained the Kano Central Senatorial District form, has niw agreed to drop his ambition for Senator Barau Jibrin.
The governor, after a series of meetings with other top APC members in Abuja, an agreement was said to have been reached for the Governor to forego his ambition in order to achieve peace.
Senator Jibrin was reported to have insisted that he was not leaving APC although his gubernatorial ambition was blocked by Ganduje’s inner caucus.
Ganduje was said to have agreed that some bigwigs in the party, Barau Jibrin inclusive, should be allowed to have their way back to Senate.
The party’s state secretary, Zakari Sarina,who confirmed the agreement between Governor Ganduje and Barau Jibrin, said, “Yes, there is tangible understanding between them and soon everybody will know this position”.
