EPL: Devastated Salah admits Liverpool failed as Man Utd qualify for UCL

Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah, admitted they failed for not qualifying for the Champions League next season, saying he was devastated.

Liverpool will play in the Europa League, after Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Chelsea confirmed Erik ten Hag’s men will finish in the top.

Shortly after the game, Salah tweeted: “I’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this.

“We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed.

“We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down.”

United will join Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United in the Champions League.
