Chelsea has agreed to allow its German striker, Timo Werner leave the club this summer.

However, the player would only leave on the condition that the Premier League side has found a replacement.

Werner, who joined the Blues from RB Leipzig for a fee of £52m in the summer of 2020, wants more playing time ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

He had already suggested during the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, that he was open to leaving Stamford Bridge.

Werner has failed to impress at Chelsea, scoring 23 goals in 90 appearances for the Blues.

Both Juventus and Leipzig have shown interest in signing the Germany International who wants first-team football before the World Cup in November.

After allowing Romelu Lukaku to return to Inter Milan, Chelsea signed Raheem Sterling in a £50m deal from Manchester City.

There are also doubts over Hakim Ziyech’s future, with Thomas Tuchel open to letting the winger leave.

The same goes for Werner but the Daily Mail says Chelsea wants a replacement signed before they let the German go.
