Encomiums in unusual quarters as Amaechi dedicates award to Wike

A praise of the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesome Wike, has come from an unsual quarters, the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
The gesture came as Amaechi dedicated his award at College of Medical Sciences at the Rivers State University (RSU) to his long-time political rival, Nyesom Wike, for completing the medical school project which he had initiated.
Amaechi, a two-term governor of Rivers State, initiated the College of Medical Sciences project at the Rivers State University (RSU) during his tenure.
Being unable to complete it before leaving office in 2015, Wike, who succeeded Amaechi as governor, continued the project, which led to the matriculation of its first set of medical students in 2018.
Consequently, Amaechi dedicated his award to Wike, commending him for his efforts in completing the college project.
The award was given to Amaechi by the college’s management during the induction of its first set of graduates into the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Dr. Fatima Kyari, the acting Registrar of the institution and CEO of MDCN, expressed gratitude to Amaechi for initiating the medical college project. She noted that the induction ceremony marked the beginning of a new journey for the graduates and expressed her support for the health sector renewal initiative.
