Bandits: Kadpoly lecturer, daughter, driver still held two weeks after

Kaduna Polytechnic lecturer, Engineer Ramatu Abarshi, her daughter and a commercial driver who were kidnapped by bandits are still held two weeks.

Indeed, gunmen had on April 24, 2022, abducted the former Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Kaduna Polytechnic, Dr. Ramatu Abarshi, and her daughter, Ameera, near Kasuwan Magani, in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

They were returning from where they had gone to distribute clothes to IDPs in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State

Less than two hours after their abduction, the kidnappers demanded for N100m ransom for their freedom.

Indications are that negotiation had continued as they were begging for a reduction in the ransom.
