AFCON: CAF unveils formal match ball

The Confederation Of African Football [CAF] has announced the official match ball of the 2024 African Cup of Nations, naming it “POKOU” in honour of the legendary Ivorian player.

News.ng also learnt that the ball game will be used in the official match between Cote d’Ivoire and Djurtus, which will take place on January 13, 2024, at a stadium in Ebimpe.

The ball will feature the three main colours of the CAF flag, white, orange and green, and will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that will have a positive impact on the game across the continent and further afield.

The 2023 edition of the African Cup of Nations will take place from January 13-11, 2024, with matches taking place in Abidjan (as host), Bouake (as host), Korhogo (as host), San Pedro (as host), and lastly Yamousoussoukro (also serving as host).
