We've Demonstrated Commitment To Serving Epe People - LG Chairperson

The Chairman, Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State and Chairmanship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), for the forthcoming LG election in the state, Princess Surah Animashaun, says her administration has demonstrated unflinching commitment to serving the people of the council area.

Princess Animashaun stated this at the party’s Mega Rally, held at Recreation Centre, Epe, Lagos state, expressed gratitude to the people of Epe LG for the privilege given to her to serve them, stating that close to four years in her first term was a testament of her administration’s commitment to serving them.

The Chairperson, who noted that her administration did not take the support given to her for granted, said that she had focused on infrastructural development while, at the same time, meeting other obligations.

While stating that her administration had been able to place the LG council on the path of sustainable development, Princess Animashaun expressed the confidence that she would be re-elected for a second term of four years during the forthcoming local government eelection

She reeled out some of the successes recorded by her government in different sectors, including infrastructural development, health, education and skills development, tourism, culture, job creation and entrepreneurship development, security and economic expansion, among others.

The Chairperson said: “My good people of Epe LG, as the end of my first tenure as your Chairperson draws closer, I must express my deepest gratitude to you for the privilege to serve you.

“I do not take for granted the support you have given our administration through the years. Without your mandate and support, we would not have succeeded in placing our dear council on the path of sustainable development.

“For close to four years are a testament to our commitment to serving our people. We have shown our people that it is possible to focus on infrastructural development while, at the same time, meeting our other obligations to them.” Princess Animashaun said.

She pleaded with the people of Epe Local Government to cast their vote for her for the continued efforts to develop the council area, promising to fulfilling all campaign promises to the residents of the local government council area.

Dele Fashomi, seasoned journalist and communication teacher, is a holder of Master of Arts degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan in 1992/93.

Earlier, he had bagged a Bachelor degree from the same university in 1984, after which he proceeded to the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos, in 1990, for a postgraduate diploma in Journalism.

He had done many courses in communication, including the EU-BBC Editing Course in 2002.

He had his first break in the Nigerian media in Concord Newspapers in 1990 and today, he has over two and half decades experience earned in several newspapers.

He has been part of many start-ups, such as The Republic (1987), The Comet (1999), The Anchor 2001 – 2002; Sun Newspapers (2003); Westerner newsmagazine (2005 – 2010) as Editor; National Life (2011) as Sunday Editor, and Newswatch Newspapers (2012- 2016) as Daily Editor.

Dele Fashomi is now the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Newstide247.com newspaper online, which he started in July 2015. He is also into biography writing, with many books in his trail, some of which he wrote alone and one he co- authored with his mentor, Mr Dare Babarinsa, entitled: Olabiyi Durojaiye – DARE TO BE DiFFERENT. He also guided and collaborated with Pa Olatunji Odusanya in writing his autobiography – AGAINST ALL ODDS. There are many other books in the works under his pen.
