Vincent Kompany dismisses critics, says will succeed with Bayern Munich job
Vincent Kompany, current coach of Bayern Munich, has dismissed criticisms that his new job is bigger than him.
Kompany spoke in a chat with the German media, saying that he cannot stop believing in himself just because of people’s opinions or what they say.
The former Burnley coach added that the mentality for him is to keep going and in the end, if he fails, then he fails, but if he succeeds, then he succeeds for himself.
He stated that he was born in Brussels, and his dad is a refugee who came from Congo but he eventually played in the Premier League and won something as a player and also played for the Belgium national team for years before he retired.
Kompany said @iMiaSanMia; “I’ll tell you something in a quick way just to prove a point.
“I was born in Brussels, my dad was a refugee who came from Congo.
“What are my chances of even playing in the Premier League, winning something as a player, playing for the national team? The odds were 0.000 something. Now I’m a coach.
“Do you just stop believing in yourself and what you can achieve because of what other people say?
“The mentality is to keep going and in the end, if you fail you fail, if you succeed you succeed. but you can always become better.
“Online you can always find stuff so I don’t take it personally.”
