Veteran Labour Leader, Frank Kokori, Is Dead

The fiery leader of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas, NUPENG, Chief Ovie Kokori, is dead.
Kokori died on his sick bed at the age og 80 years.
Kokori’s personal assistant, Atawada Barry Oke, said the veteran labour leader’s health relapsed on Monday when he was unable to interact with the people around him while he was placed on life support.
On Thursday, November 9, 2023, Kokori had made a distress call, lamenting that he had been abandoned to die despite his huge contribution to the democratic growth of the country.
Consequently, dignitaries including Delta State Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori; former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege; officials of NUPENG paid him visits and offered assistance to him.
Kokori led NUPENG to demand from the military the revalidation of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election won by Bashorun MKO Abiola.
