Update: Eric Ten Hag confirms new deal talks progessing with Man United
Manchester United manager, Eric Ten Hag, confirmed he is in talks with club management over a new deal.
This development erased doubts over the future of the manager as Ten Hag is expected to continue managing Manchester United at the beginning of the 2024–2025 season, as per numerous publications.
Last season, Manchester United failed to make it into the UEFA Champions League, a situation which put Erik teng Hag under a lot of pressure from fans of the club.
According to him, “I’m in talks with Man United over a new deal, yes. We still have to find an agreement for the new contract. This isn’t easily done, we are still going to have to talk.
“Manchester United flew to me in Ibiza to tell me that I was gonna stay. So they disturbed my holiday, they suddenly stood at my doorstep.”
The manager also confirmed that Manchester United spoke with former Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel but they eventually came to a conclusion that they already have the best manager.
