Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson, has said Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has a huge influence on the Champions League semi-final tie with Real Madrid.
Haaland arrived at the Etihad last summer and has already netted 51 goals in all competitions.
Pep Guardiola will be hoping that the Norwegian helps City to finally win the Champions League.
Merson told Sky Sports, “Haaland was brought in to win the Champions League and I think he will be the difference.
“I cannot see Haaland not scoring over two legs, I’d be amazed if he doesn’t. If he doesn’t score, I don’t see how Manchester City progress.”
