Tony Elumelu Donates 1,800 Bags of Rice to Delta Community

Prominent investment banker and entrepreneur Tony Elumelu has donated 1,800 bags of rice to households in Onicha-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, spreading joy and support during the festive season.
Beneficiaries of the generous gesture included the royal palace and council of chiefs, elders, faith-based organizations such as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), as well as various socio-cultural and youth groups.
Leaders of the benefiting groups and community elders gathered at the Elumelu family residence on Sunday to express gratitude for the donation.
Speaking through Nasir Ramon, Head of Media and External Relations at UBA, Elumelu emphasized his commitment to giving back to his ancestral community and uplifting others.
He encouraged unity and the spirit of generosity among the people.
Ramon highlighted Elumelu’s core values, stating, “Tony Elumelu embodies hard work, generosity, and the belief that when we lift others, we rise together. We urge everyone to adopt this spirit of giving and unity in their daily lives.”
In his remarks, the traditional ruler of Onicha-Uku, Agbogidi Agbamuche, represented by Chief Steve Osakwe, praised Elumelu for remaining humble and connected to his roots despite his global success.
He described the initiative as a reflection of Elumelu’s values of hard work, kindness, and his vision for a brighter future.
Community leaders, including Chief Steve Osakwe, Mrs. Ngozi Olise, Mr. Hilary Okechukwu Okonkwo, and Okonji Elumelu, expressed deep appreciation for the support.
They called on others to emulate Elumelu’s unwavering commitment to lifting others and fostering unity within the community.
