Tompolo’s security firm dismisses Navy’s oil theft allegation
The private outfit hired to tackle insecuity in the Niger Delta, Tantita Security Services Limited, on Friday, dismissed the Nigerian Navy’s accusation of involvement in illegal activities along the coastal areas of Ondo state.
A statement by the The Nigerian Navy’s Director of Naval Information, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, on Thursday, had announced the arrest of a 77-meter-long vessel and accused Tantita of being involved in illegal activities.
However, Tantuta, in a counter statement by its Executive Director – Operations and Technical, Warredi Enisuoh, said the Navy’s allegations are bizarre and mischievous.
He alleged that the Navy personnel rejected demands by the NNPC for a joint inspection of the vessel by the agencies involved for no genuine reason.
