Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Assured, ex-PDP Gov Candidate Jandor Declares, Decamps to APC

Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the 2023 PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State, has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is inevitable. Adediran, who recently defected back to the APC, made the declaration during a rally in Lagos’ Ojo area on Friday.
Adediran, the leader of the Lagos4Lagos movement, had resigned from the PDP on March 3 and officially returned to his former party, the APC. Speaking at the rally, he emphasized that his current mission is to mobilize support for Tinubu’s second-term bid.
According to him, the president’s bold reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies, demonstrate his selfless leadership. “Removal of fuel subsidy makes Tinubu a selfless President because he could have maintained the status quo to secure a second term,” Adediran said.
He added that the positive impact of Tinubu’s policies and recent defections into the APC have solidified the president’s chances in 2027. “Our priority is to ensure that we see to how this man will return in 2027 to further reposition the country,” he stated.
Reflecting on his 2023 governorship bid, Adediran noted that although he lost, his campaign created political opportunities for residents of the Badagry division within the APC.
In response, Lagos APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi welcomed Adediran and his supporters, urging party leaders to integrate them. Similarly, Ojo Local Government Chairman Olushola Idowu described the defection as a major boost for the APC in the area.
Kayode Robert, Lagos Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, also praised Adediran’s decision to rejoin the ruling party, calling it a courageous move.
