Tinubu swears in new HoS, as Yemi-Esan exits

A new Head of the Federal Civil Service, Esther Walson-Jack, has been sworn in by
President Bola Tinubu on Monday.
President Tinubu, while presidin over the Federal Executive Council, FEC, also held a valedictory session in honour of the outgoing Head of Service Folasade Yemi-Esan.
The President said the new Head of Service is stepping into a big shoe left behind by the outgoing Yemi-Esan, praying that God would guide her with wisdom to lead the service right.
He commended the outgoing Head of Service for her exceptional tenure, adding that “we must thank her for serving our nation exceptionally well, with dedication, efficiency and professionalism in the federal civil service.
“We express our gratitude for her unwavering commitment to the service.”
Also, George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, praised the outgoing HoS for her dedication to duty and genuine concern for enhancing the performance of the civil servants in the country.
He said the outgoing Head of Service has been instrumental in evolving policies that strengthened the performance in the federal civil service, adding that she is leaving “behind a legacy of excellence for the civil servants to follow.”
The SGF said, ”She has been instrumental in evolving policies that strengthened the performance management in the federal civil service
