Tinubu appoints new aides on livestock development, Senate Matters, NALDA CEO

New presidential aides on livestock development, Senate matters, and a new Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) have been appointed by President Bola Tinubu.

Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, in separate statements, disclosed this.

According to Ngalale, “President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo as the new Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA). Mr. Adebayo is an engineer and also a community and social development expert.”

Also, Idris Ajimobi was announced as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development (Office of the President).

Indeed, the two appointments came on the backdrop of the inauguration of the Presidential Committee on Implementation of Livestock Reforms and the establishment of a new Ministry of Livestock Development by President Tinubu.

Ngalale ecplained that, “The President seeks to harness and develop Nigeria’s agricultural potential, including the animal husbandry ecosystem, to spur sustainable economic growth, create industries and jobs, and eradicate violent conflicts between farmers and herders over time.”

In the same vein, President Tinubu has appoined Senator Bashir Lado Mohammed as the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters (Office of the President).

Senator Lado, a consummate politician and businessman, is from Kano State and was a former senator representing Kano Central as well as ex-director-general of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

According to the statement, “The President expects that the new Special Adviser on Senate Matters will deploy his immense experience for enhanced synergy between the Executive and the Legislature and for improved government performance.”
