Three men docked for dealing in hard drugs

Three men were arraigned at a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court for alleged deal in hard drugs Wednesday

The accused, Magnus Ezimkama, 51; Nicholas Ndubuisi, 41; and a woman, Nnenna Chidinma, 29 ; were arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and dealing with substances suspected to be cocaine.

The trio pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Prosecutor, Nosa Watson said that the defendants committed the offences on Aug. 25, about 2.00 p.m., at 6th Avenue in  Festac Town Area of  Lagos State.

He alleged that the defendants were found with two packs of a substance suspected to be hard drugs.

He added that the alleged offences contravened Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 and Section 15(1) of Miscellaneous Act Vol 8, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

The Chief magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, granted bail to the defendants in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum.

She added that the sureties must own landed properties within the state’s jurisdiction.

She subsequently adjourned the case until September 31.
