Thiago finally signs three-year deal with Juventus 

Brazilian-Portuguese coach Thiago Motta has signed a three-year deal with Italian Serie A side Juventus FC, which is valid until June 2027.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Motta is presently in Portugal, where he will put pen to paper on a three-year contract.

Juventus would be expected to issue a statement on Motta, who was recently the head coach of Bologna.

Motta had appeared at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and two European Championships as a player with Italy.

Fabrizio Romano wrote on his X handle: ‘‘Thiago Motta signs as new Juventus head coach today, plan confirmed!

‘‘He’s in Portugal where he will put pen to paper on three-year deal valid until June 2027.

‘‘Club statement to follow in the next days, here we go confirmed.’’

Motta will now replace Maximiliano Allegri who has parted ways with Juventus as he won’t be the manager next season, as planned since February, when he fell out with the board of the club.
