TESLIM FOLARIN’S COMMITTEE CAN’T ACHIEVE RECONCILIATION FOR OYO APC, GROUP WARNS

A political group, under the aegis of APC UNITY WATCH, has said the Teslim Folarin-led Reconciliation Committee in Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress Party-(APC) is incapable of resolving the crisis in the chapter of the party.

A statement signed by its Coordinator, Chief Adedotun Ajayi Tajudeen, in Ibadan said a genuine “reconciliation process that will lead to a new path, one that addresses the root causes of all the problems and creates a more just and equitable opportunities all members” cannot be got through the Folarin-led committee.

The group asserted that the same personality behind the festering division in Oyo State APC cannot be the right person to bring about genuine reconciliation.

The statement reads: “When the cause of a problem and division in the party is saddled with the responsibility of reconciliation in our party, it leads to predictable failed attempt and would only compound the crisis.

“A critical part of those who created the problem in the first place, claiming  to want to reconcile raises a lot of doubt, such as biased decision-making, lack of trust, vendetta, and ultimately, superficial solutions.

“Teslim Folarin lacks transparency and integrity, being the progenitor of our party’s division right from when he joined the party; he is completely unfit, and a wrong choice to lead a holistic and meaningful reconciliatory move for the party.

“His track record loudly speaks volumes; deceit and tricksterish attributes that run far too deep to fathom for the unwary.

“There is no where in the world where one of the main creators of the crisis would be entrused with resolving the crisis he created in a private meeting.”

The statement further stated that the committee cannot be believed or accepted, consequently, “it must be rejected entirely.”

The group also stated that, “Teslim Folarin is a wrong and bad choice to lead such audacious reconciliations in Oyo State APC.

“We want a reconciliation process that will lead to a new path forward, one that addresses the root causes of all the problems and creates a more just and equitable ground for all members.”
