
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho moving to Sevilla FC as free agent

Talented Super Eagles and former Leicester City Striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, is moving to seven-time EUROPA league champions Sevilla FC as a free agent.
Sky Sports’ transfer expert, Florian Plettenberg, said Iheanacho has verbally agreed with the Spanish La Liga side over a move to the Rojiblancos.
Plattenburg also informed us that documents are now being prepared as the former Leicester City player will join the club in the days after the deal is signed.
Iheanacho, who scored 61 goals and registered 34 assists in 232 games for Leicester City, now joins his compatriot Chidera Ejuke who also joined Sevilla as a free agent.
Last month, Leicester City announced the departure of 27-year-old Iheanacho after spending seven years at the club he joined from Manchester City.
The club, in a post shared on its X handle (formerly Twitter) on Friday, June 7, informed that Kelechi is leaving the club alongside Marc Albrighton and Dennis Praet.
‘‘Marc Albrighton, Kelechi Iheanacho and Dennis Praet will leave the Foxes this summer.’’ The club wrote on its official X handle.
