Serie A: Osimhen, Lookman targeted for Player of the Month Award
Super Eagles stars, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, are on line for Serie A Player of the Month for October.
Osimhen and Lookman had played well for Napoli and Atalanta respectively in the month.
Osimhen, 23, who failed to make an appearance for Napoli in September as a result of injury returned with a bang in October.
The forward scored five goals in three league appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s side.
The former Lille star scored a goal each against Bologna and AS Roma before netting a hat-trick versus Sassuolo last weekend.
Lookman on his part registered four goals in five appearances for Atalanta in October.
The pacy winger was on target against Fiorentina, Udinese, Sassuolo and Empoli.
The duo will battle AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, Inter Milan’s midfielder, Nicolo Barella and Lazio star, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for the individual prize.
