Sam Amadi applauds Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu’s dignified carriage
Sam Amadi, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has praised the public conduct and personal style of Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, describing her appearance in office as dignified and commendable.
His remarks come during President Bola Tinubu’s official visit to the United Kingdom, accompanied by the First Lady and other officials, to foster bilateral ties and attract investment.
In a post on 𝕏, Amadi noted that while other aspects of her public role are open to discussion, the First Lady consistently demonstrates poise through her good dressing and dignified presence.
He acknowledged a “bad spot” in her public record, referencing her controversial comments during the 2023 election period, but maintained that aside from that, her overall public bearing has been satisfactory.
“The thing about the First Lady I like is that she dresses well and dignified. Other things are arguable. But her poise and public bearing since coming to the office have been commendable,” he wrote. “Of course, the bad spot remains the hate speech during the 2023 election. Beside that, she has been fine.”
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized the Tinubu administration sharply over the country’s security situation. The opposition party alleged that government officials are celebrating abroad while Nigerians suffer, following the release of the 2026 Global Terrorism Index, which ranked Nigeria fourth globally for terrorism impact.
