Residents berate marketers as fuel sells N300 to N400 per litre

Residents are angry that queues have resurfaced in most part of Ondo State, worst hit Akure, the capital of the state, with petrol sold for between N300 to N400 per litre.
This is barely 24 hours after the swearing-in of the new President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The residents wonder that less than 24 hours, on Tuesday, that President Tinubu announced official removal of fuel subsidy, the stare is hut by biting scarcity.
The scarcity has reduced vehicular movements on most of the roads, with only few of the filling stations dispensing the product.
Prices of fuel per litre have skyrocketed with some filling stations dispensing the product between N300 to N400.
The residents, who lamented over the development, alleged deliberate attempts by oil marketers to frustrate the new administration.
They believed the fuel marketers were purposely hoarding their stocks following the hint by Tinubu that his administration would not continue with fuel subsidies regime.
