Qatar World Cup: England get Declan Rice’s boost ahead q-final clash with France
England has been handed a major fitness boost ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup quarter-final clash against France on Saturday evening following midfielder Declan Rice’s return to training.
Rice missed England’s training on Wednesday because of illness but was back in the fold with his teammates on Thursday.
The West Ham United star is an important player for Gareth Southgate’s side in the World Cup so far in Qatar.
Asked about Rice, England defender Kieran Trippier told reporters ahead of the France clash: “Dec was involved today.
“He did not train yesterday, but he was in high spirits as he always is and he trained well today.”
