President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will commence a two-day official visit to Katsina State on Friday, focusing on enhancing security and advancing local development initiatives.

A statement released on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, revealed that the President will engage with key stakeholders to evaluate the security situation firsthand. Katsina, like other northwestern states, has grappled with persistent security issues, including banditry and rural violence.

The visit highlights President Tinubu’s dedication to tackling insecurity through dialogue, infrastructure improvements, and partnerships with state governments.

During his stay, the President will inaugurate the new Katsina Agricultural Mechanised Centre, a major initiative designed to boost food production and modernize farming in the agriculturally significant state. Additionally, he will commission a newly completed 24-kilometre dual carriageway, a project executed under Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s administration.

In a social engagement, President Tinubu will attend the wedding ceremony of Governor Radda’s daughter. The President is scheduled to return to Abuja after concluding his two-day working visit.
