Police, NSCDC express commitment to collaborate against crime in Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) are collaborating to combat crime in the state.
Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Polycarp-Emeka, stated this during a visit to the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Port Harcourt.
The Commissioner of Police said a holistic approach to security through prompt intelligence sharing and formidable inter-agency collaborations will enhance effective service delivery, especially in the fulfilment of the statutory mandate of every security outfit.
A statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olumide Ayodele, said the state NSCDC commandant, Basil Igwebueze, assured the police authority of synergy to rid the state of criminals.
