PDP Chairman, leaders report expelled Wike, others to police

Newly elected Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, has led a delegation of party leaders to the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Their mission was to file a formal complaint against expelled members, including former Senator Samuel Anyanwu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

This move is a direct response to a rival faction of the PDP, led by Muhammed Abdulrahman and backed by Wike, which has called for an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

The notice for this meeting was issued by the expelled National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.

According to the schedule, the BoT meeting of the Wike-loyal faction is set for 11 a.m., followed by the NEC meeting at 2 p.m., both to be held at the party’s national secretariat in Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

This conflict stems from the recent PDP National Convention in Ibadan, where Anyanwu, Wike, and former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose were expelled from the party over allegations of anti-party activities.
