Leaders and elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, under the aegis of Ondo APC Aborigines, have embarked on comprehensive vote mobilization for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the November governorship election.

Consequently, the leaders have formed a 10-man committee in each of the 18 local government areas across the state.

Also, a five-man committee has been designated to coordinate activities in each polling unit and ward.

Specifically, the activities of the committees are targetted at securing a total of 200,000 votes for the APC’s candidate, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Ambassador Olusola Iji, coordinator of the Ondo APC Aborigines, detailed the plan during the inauguration ceremony held in Akure. He stated that the committees will operate independently from the party’s official campaign council.

He also said the committees are tasked with ensuring that each polling unit achieves a target of 55 votes for the APC on Election Day.

According to Ambassador Iji, “Our goal is to mobilize 55 voters per polling unit. We have established five-member canvassing teams at the ward and unit levels, each responsible for persuading 10 voters to support our party.

“We are committed to independently campaigning for Aiyedatiwa and implementing structures to mobilize registered voters effectively.”

He expressed confidence that the 200,000 votes secured by the Aborigine canvassers would be instrumental in leading Governor Aiyedatiwa to victory.

He acknowledged the complexity of the task ahead but reiterated their commitment to executing their strategy diligently.

Meanwhile, students of Ondo State origin have pledged their unwavering support for Governor Aiyedatiwa in the forthcoming election.

The students conveyed their support through the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, Honourable Kelvin Olaolu Solomon.

Honourable Solomon assured Aiyedatiwa of the full backing of all students in the state, emphasizing that the governor has performed admirably to the satisfaction of the student body during his tenure.
