Olubadan to elevate Makind’s brother, eight other chiefs in Otun Line

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, will elevate nine chiefs in the Otun Olubadan chieftaincy line in a ceremony tomorrow at the Oke-Aremo Palace.

The promotions will see chiefs move up from titles such as Jagun to Ayingun. Notable among them are Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde, the elder brother of the Oyo State Governor, who will be promoted from Aare Onibon to Gbonka Olubadan, and the businessman Chief Dotun Sanusi, who will rise from Ajia to Bada Olubadan.

According to a statement from the Olubadan’s media aide, Chief Adeola Oloko, other chiefs to be elevated include Chief Dauda Gbadamosi, Chief William Akande, Chief Oluyinka Akande, Chief Olufemi Ogunwale, Chief Wasiu Alaadorin, and Chief Abiola Anlamole, each advancing one step in the traditional hierarchy.

The ceremony will be attended by members of the Olubadan-in-Council.
