Ogun’s Gateway Air to begin flights to major Nigerian cities Monday

Ogun State-owned airline, Gateway Air, has announced plans to start flight operations to key cities across Nigeria to boost connectivity.

A statement on Saturday in Abeokuta from Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Kayode Akinmade, said scheduled flights would commence on Monday. Routes include Iperu-Abuja, Abuja-Port Harcourt, Abuja-Calabar, Abuja-Jos, and Iperu-Kano.

Akinmade noted flights would operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. One-way economy fares start from N100,000 to offer affordable travel.

He described the move as a major step toward improving regional access and strengthening economic activity through efficient air transport, adding that the initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to reliable, customer-focused aviation services.
