Dapo Abiodun, Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Rasak Daddah during his installation as Coronet Oba, held in Yewa-South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The Ogun State Government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun, has installed Oba Yahyah Odunmbaku as Oloko-Baba of Oko-Baba in Yewa-South Local Government Area of the State.

The Installation which comprised Presentation of Instruments of Office as well as the Staff of Office established the Monarch as a part III Oba over his territory.

Governor Abiodun, represented by his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Rasak Daddah, admonished the people of Oko-Baba to protect their crown and utilise the presence of an Oba, for communal growth and development.

“Your community among others has been favoured with a king. I charge you all to work together, maintain cordiality between other communities and relate closely with the government, ” he said.

The Olu Ilaro and Paramont Ruler of Yewa land, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, represented by the Olobi of Ilobi, Yewa land, Oba Soliu Ajibade, congratulated the coronet Oba, emphasised the need for a peaceful reign, as central to the development of Oko-Baba kingdom and charging the community to work in harmony for a secured future.

Chairman, Yewa South Local Government, Barr. Abraham Ogunsola, in his address said that the task of leadership was a challenge for any Oba, calling for the support of all stakeholder to rally round the Oba, and support him for a progressive reign.

In his acceptance speech, Oloko of Oko-Baba, expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun, Oba Olugbenle and the community for the confidence they had in him, pledging to offer a people-oriented leadership that would take the township to the next level.

In attendance were Olowo of Owo, Oba Adesegun Rufai, Onimede of Imede, Oba Isaac Akinlolu, Chiefs, Members of Yewa Council of Baales, and prominent people from the community.
