Former Nigerian leaders, including ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, retired General Abdulsalami Abubakar, and former Senate President Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, will play key roles at the launch of the memoirs of Alhaji Sule Lamido, former governor of Jigawa State. The event is scheduled for Tuesday at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.

General Abdulsalami Abubakar will chair the occasion, while Dr. Ayu will review the book. Former President Obasanjo will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.

The launch is expected to attract serving governors, lawmakers, business leaders, traditional rulers, and other prominent political figures connected to Lamido.

At a media briefing on Tuesday at Rockview Hotel, Abuja, Senator Mustapha Khabeeb, Chairman of the Book Launch Committee, described the memoir as a significant work that unveils Nigeria’s political evolution from the Second Republic through military rule to the Fourth Republic.

Khabeeb stated that Lamido’s autobiography offers an insider’s perspective on the intrigues, betrayals, and power dynamics that have influenced Nigeria’s democracy.

He emphasized that the book is not just a personal account but a detailed political chronicle capturing the essence of Nigeria’s governance and democratic struggles.
