Nwabali assures Super Eagles will defeat South Africa in World Cup qualifier

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has assured that the Super Eagles will defeat South Africa in the forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying games.
Nwabali spoke in a chat with the media, Lagis Talks, saying the Super Eagles are strong enough to conquer any opposition.
The Nigerian goalkeeper explained that although no one can predict football, but with the calibre of players Nigeria has, if the team puts its acts together, South Africa will not be a match.
According to him, “Football is the same everywhere, but I don’t feel that with the kind of players we have, we can have any challenge in any game, especially in our group. But you cannot predict football.
“Talking about South African players, I would say I know them. We have good players in our country too, so I’m not talking about those guys; they are good in their own way of playing.
“I’m not talking about them because if we can put ourselves together, they cannot match us.”
This comes days after William Troost-Ekong, stressed on the need for the Super Eagles to defeat South Africa and Benin Republic in the forthcoming World Cup qualifying games.
Troist-Ekong, who plays as a centre-back for Super League Greece club PAOK told Arise TV it is very important the Eagles win both games because they want to qualify and partake in the 2026 World Cup.
