No ransom was paid for the release of the kidnapped Dapchi Government Girls Science and Technical College in Yobe State, says Presidency.

Both the Defence Minister, Mansur Dan Ali, and his Information and Culture counterpart, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, told State House Correspondents shortly before the beginning of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday that no ransom was paid for the released schoolgirls.

In the same vein, the Presidency in a statement via its official Twitter handle, also insisted that no ransome was paid for the release of the girls.
