NNPCL dismisses pipeline leakage in Aboru axis of Lagos
The report of a pipeline leakage in the Aboru axis of Lagos State has been dismissed as untrue by the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited.
A statement by Garba Deen Muhammad, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Limited, disclosed this on Wednesday.
He said investigations by the company showed no pipeline leakage in the Aboru axis of Lagos State.
According to him, the video circulating on the Aburo pipeline leakage is three years old.
“That video in circulation on social media indicating a pipeline leakage in the area is three years old and should thus be disregarded. When the three-year-old video came to the company’s attention, its pipeline team responded swiftly, and on arrival at the location, the team found no such incident had occurred”, he said.
