In a move to strengthen its strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has announced two key executive appointments.
Andy Odeh has been named the new Chief Corporate Communications Officer (CCCO).
He joins NNPC with over 30 years of expertise in communications and business administration from the oil and gas, advertising, and broadcasting industries.
Odeh spent 26 years at Nigeria LNG (NLNG), where he held several senior positions.
His most recent role was General Manager of External Relations and Sustainable Development.
His notable achievements include leading NLNG’s rebranding initiative, implementing a highly successful micro-credit scheme for host communities, and establishing the prestigious NLNG Prize for Energy Reporting. Odeh is an alumnus of the University of Jos, the University of Lagos, INSEAD Business School, and the Nigeria Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
Morenike Adewunmi has been appointed Chief Relations Officer (CRO). A legal professional with over 25 years in the oil and gas sector, she brings deep expertise in stakeholder management and advocacy from her extensive career with the Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCIN).
At Shell, Adewunmi held critical roles such as Regulatory Affairs Manager, overseeing all regulatory engagements, and Government Relations Manager, where she cultivated strong relationships with the Presidency and various government agencies. She is recognized for her leadership, emotional intelligence, and expertise in managing non-technical risks.
She holds a law degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University and the Nigerian Law School.
These appointments underscore NNPC Limited’s commitment to enhancing its communication strategies and building robust, compliant relationships with all its stakeholders.
