Nigeria’s Super Eagles arrives in South Africa for crucial World Cup qualifier

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are in South Africa on Sunday for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifier match with Bafana Bafana.

After initial issues were cleared, Nigerian contingent landed in Johannesburg Sunday afternoon.

The Super will hold their final training session on Monday before Tuesday’s encounter at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, which kicks off at 16:00 GMT.

Nigeria moved up to third place following their 1–0 win over Rwanda on Saturday in Uyo. This has moved the Super Eagles to the third position, keeping their World Cup hopes alive.

Tuesday’s clash is a must-win for the Super Eagles if they hope to overtake the leaders and remain in contention.

However, Victor Osimhen is ruled out of the match due to injury.

With this situation, the team coach, Eric Chelle, will make certain tactical changes.
