K1 the Ultimate Wasiu Ayinde Marshal

NCAA Petitions IGP, AGF, Seeks Criminal Probe, No-Fly List for Fuji Star K1 De Ultimate Over Alleged Flight Disruption

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Egbetokun, and the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, demanding for a criminal investigation and possible prosecution of popular Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as K1 De Ultimate, following an alleged misconduct incident aboard a ValueJet flight.

In a statement by NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, the authority confirmed that the incident occurred on Tuesday, 5th August 2025, on ValueJet flight VK201.

The musician’s actions reportedly disrupted standard flight operations and may have violated provisions of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) 2023.

Though full details are still being compiled, the NCAA stressed the need to uphold aviation safety and accountability.

The authority wants the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector-General of Police to commence criminal probe into the incident.

Also, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, advised the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) to consider placing K1 De Ultimate on a No-Fly List pending the outcome of investigations.

The NCAA said this aligns with global aviation safety standards, ensuring no individual, regardless of status, compromises flight security.

The authority reiterated that all passengers must adhere to the same behavioral standards while onboard commercial flights within Nigerian airspace.

Achimugu assured the public that updates would be provided as the investigation progresses.
