NANS expresses appreciation for Tinubu’s Yuletide transport subsidy

President Bola Tinubu has been hailed by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) for the 2023 yuletide season 50 percent transport fares slash.
Consequently, NANS called for further students’ support for his administration.
A statement by the President of NANS, Mr Pedro Obi, on Wednesday in Enugu, said President Tinubu is commit to the welfare of Nigerians.
Mr. Dele Alake, Chairman of the Inter-ministerial Committee on the Presidential Intervention on Public Transportation, announced the government’s transport subsidy on luxury buses for inter-state travels and free train rides for Nigerians willing to travel this festive holidays.
NANS President said the remarkable decision demonstrated President Tinubu’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerians and showcased a proactive step towards alleviating the burdens faced by travelers during this celebratory period.
According to him, NANS is appreciative of President Tinubu’s exemplary initiative in implementing a 50 per cent transport subsidy for travelers during the festive Yuletide season.
The NANS boss acknowledged the gesture as a positive step, extolling President Tinubu’s sensitivity to the needs of the people, especially during a time when travel expenses could be particularly burdensome.
