Business women and media mogul, Mo Abudu, is among Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women in the World for the third consecutive year on the prestigious list.

Mo Abudu expressed joy over the choice, saying she is humbled in representing the media and entertainment sector, as well as being a symbol of black excellence and Nigerian/African achievement.

While congratulating other powerful women on the list, including Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Mo Abudu stressed the importance of representation.

She said seeing women of colour and women from developing nations recognised on a global stage inspires and motivates others to break barriers.

According to her, her recognition is a call to action, while encouraging women to continue pushing boundaries, forging paths, and lifting each other up.

She thanked Forbes for celebrating the power, resilience, and impact of women worldwide, and she looks forward to seeing more women rise and rewrite the narrative.
